Hai there! I always get compliments whenever I have this nail art design on my nails….ALWAYS! In this post I will be showing you how to get this cute, simple and very summery design on your own nails at home, huzzah! So here are the stuff you will need:
Here’s the breakdown:
Top coat (No7), black with no glitter (NYC), white (Angelica), green (Green Grass-Rimmel), yellow with brush included (Fraulein).
Large and small dotting tools (from Ebay for less than €2), alternatively, you can use the end of a bobby pin or an unused pen/pencil.
Lets begin! First, paint all you nails green.
Put a blob of white on your working surface and mix with a little bit of yellow for the middle part of the kiwi. We don’t want a brilliant white colour for this part-to make it look more realistic!
Dot the middle part of each nail until you get an oval shape using the large end of dotting tool. There’s no need to be overly tidy at this step.
Next, create lines on the green spaces from the same colour as above using a small brush. I was a bit messy at this step but that’s ok!
Dot some black ‘seeds’ using your dotting tool. Try to fill the green areas moderately and you can overlap with the cream sections too, say 3-4 ‘seeds’ per section. You still want the green areas to show!
Tadah! Put on your top coat as the final step and you are done! I didn’t get the chance to clean up my cuticle, but you can use q-tips soaked in acetone to remove the excess nail polish.
Simples! Here’s a better pic that I took last year, I had nail extensions on and they were crazy long but the design certainly looks cute on short nails too :)
That’s it for today’s post, hope it inspired you! More easy nail art tutorials coming up soon! Let me know if you will be trying this nail art design this summer ;)
